After major software updates or fixes to the databases such as Web of Science, Ebsco, Lexis Nexis or Proquest, you will be asked to clear your cache in order to have the fix take effect on your computer.  Here is a brief set of instructions on how to clear your cache in the major browsers.

Internet Explorer - 7.x versions

Go to Tools  - Internet Options  - General 
-- Hit the delete button under Browsing history - Delete temporary files, history, cookies.  Definitely delete the Temporary Internet Files and the Cookies.  It is personal preference if you delete any of the other things listed.

Firefox

Go to Tools - Clear Recent history
-- Definitely delete the Cookies and the Cache. It is personal preference if you delete any of the other things listed.

Chrome

Go to the picture of the wrench - Tools - Clear Browsing data
Definitely Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data and Empty the cache.  It is personal preference if you delete any of the other things listed.
